The retro fridges are usually the tall fridges and have a nice, curved design with a large handle which is very much from the 50's. Cream is a very popular colour with retro fridges but there are also lots of others to choose from with some offering almost psychedelic designs with lots of colours. So retro fridges can look traditional or cool, it all depends on where they are used and the kitchen they are in.
